His ways.

‘For just as the heavens are higher than the earth, so my ways are higher than your ways and my thoughts higher than your thoughts.’ Isaiah 55:9(NLT)

If the Lord tells you to do something that appears very different from what you feel should have been done, please do it. Don’t ask questions or try to connect the dots in your mind, just obey. His is the best approach that could ever be! He spoke what he wanted in existence into being at the beginning, he is that mysterious and powerful. Believe and obey him.

As humans, we make judgements, mostly based on what we see. Whereas, our God sometimes decides based on what we can’t see at that moment and he thus gives us directions on those unseen factors that guarantee victory if we obey him. In 1 Chronicles 20:17, the Lord’s instruction to the people of Judah concerning the impending war was very different from everyday military strategy. Instead of telling them to gear up for war and develop strategies to win, he simply told them to stand still and watch his victory. Thank God they obeyed by not fighting but praising him instead because if they had done otherwise, they would have been fighting God’s battle and surely no one should ever fight God’s battle for him! He’s more than able to crush any opposition, just as he gave Judah victory eventually over their enemies.

Beloved, whatever that problem might be, God’s instruction to you is the best you need to solve it. Humbly go before him, tell him about the problem and surrender to his will as he instructs you on what to do. Don’t go your way, go his. Also, don’t doubt what he says, simply step forward with faith and overcome with him. Remember that you are the clay and he is the potter, you are the branch and he is the vine dresser, you are the living and he is the life, most definitely, his ways are not your ways.

Shalom as you stay victorious in Christ Jesus.

Live what you preach.

”In the same way, let your good deeds shine out for all to see, so that everyone will praise your heavenly Father.” Matthew 5:16(NLT)

Your lifestyle is an invaluable channel of evangelism, please use it well. You never could tell who is out there watching your conduct as you live your life with your identity as a christian well-known. Does your lifestyle bring glory to Christ? Does it make others want to be Christians too?

If you preach love, don’t just talk about it, show it. If you preach peace, then being a peacemaker is really the best way to pass the message across. Let your modus operandi be ‘do as I do,do as I say’. In essence, let your acts match your speech. Jesus Christ as our perfect and ultimate role model lived what he preached. He personified his message.  He preached love and he gave the ultimate example of it when he died on the cross. My friend, please do likewise.

The disciples were first called christians in Antioch because their lifestyles resembled that of Christ. Their lifestyles revealed their identity and gave rise to the word ‘christians.’ If that was how it was, then it should still be the same because the words of Christ are perfect, unchanging and complete. So, Christians should still be people who spread the words of Christ and live the life of Christ. They should be identified by the way they live. There lifestyles should give glory to God always, living sacrifices(Romans 12:2). There shouldn’t be any deviation or  mutation whatsoever of this standard!

So, my dear friend, this is just to encourage you to keep up with the good work and be careful to live what you preach always!

You are blessed!

Serve God,not fear.

‘For God has not given us a spirit of fear and timidity, but of power, love and self-discipline.’ 2 Timothy 1:7(NLT)

The Holy Spirit in us is the third person in trinity and being God himself, he is not scared by anything whatsoever. He can make the most timid of persons the bravest. He is that able!

As the redeemed, we have the Holy Spirit residing in us and as such we should serve God and not fear. How do I mean? We shouldn’t pretend to trust God with all our hearts while a part of us still gives in to doing certain things, not because we love God but because we are scared.

For instance, you get a message that says something like ‘if you love Jesus, forward this to all your contacts. If you don’t, so,so and so negative things will happen.’ Then you might be tempted to forward the message, not mainly because you love Jesus, rather, because you are scared of the threat of negative things that might happen. This is wrong!!! Isn’t the power of the Lord greater than any threat whatsoever? Never give in to fear! God is the one to be feared and thus only him should you obey out of the reverential fear that you have for him. You shouldn’t be subdued by the fear of other things that are channeled to you through various media.

My friends, please beware. You should take your time to listen to the Holy Spirit before deciding on the line of action in response to any message you get. Such messages that include threats if one doesn’t forward them are so common these days, don’t be caught in the trap of spreading a message whose source’s aim is to propagate fear. Let the Holy Spirit guide you on which to forward and which not to. Also pray to the father to help you be bold so as to make the right decisions always. Serve God, not fear!!!

I do not pretend not to have forwarded such messages in the past. As a matter of fact, I have. However, going forward, I will be most careful with the messages I share, making sure that I do not forward messages about Christ out of fear of whatever repercussions that are included in the messages but because I love God,seek to please him and follow his lead as he guides on which to share or not. He has given me a spirit of power, love and self-discipline! Hallelujah!

Stay true.

Chosen generation, peculiar people, please, never deny Jesus Christ. Wherever, whenever, let his light be seen shining brightly in your lifestyle. Without people being told, let them be able to suppose that you are a CHRISTIAN based on the traits of holiness that they see in you.

Youths, especially, should be very careful when it comes to this crucial topic of not losing one’s identity as a christian. It’s so easy to get lost in the crowd and hop on the ride of sin, with so much distractions that now abound in the forms of immoral music, indecent dressing and other vices. We should stand for God always. Let the light of Christ be seen in you!

Please note that denial is not only in the verbal form,it could also be attitudinal. So,whenever your attitude intentionally negates the identity of who you should be as a christian, then you are practicing attitudinal denial of Christ Jesus.

The Lord said in Matthew 10:33(NLT):”But everyone who denies me here on earth, I will also deny before my Father in heaven.”

May the Lord not deny us on that final day of judgement in Jesus name.

Never deny Jesus Christ!

‘Don’t let anyone think less of you because you are young. Be an example to all believers in what you say, in the way you live, in your love, your faith and your purity.’ 1 Timothy 4:12(NLT)

Timothy was endowed spiritually as stated by what the Apostle Paul wrote in 1 Timothy 4:14. He had a responsibility and Paul as an elder in ministry was admonishing him through his letter to him. It is good that one has a mentor in ministry who is genuinely concerned about one’s growth and development as a servant of the most high. I pray that may the Lord bring a connection between you and your appointed mentor in the journey of faith in Jesus name.

My friend,as long as the Lord has set you apart for a purpose and set you in motion for that purpose, you are never too young. Regardless of your what some people might say to spite you as regarding your age, hold on tenaciously to the promise of God to you and stay completely submissive to him. The Lord is perfect and so whatever time that he decides to send you forth is the perfect time, irrespective of how young you might be.

However,it is important to live an exemplary life so that one’s ministerial purposes might be most effectively achieved. Paul advised Timothy to be an example in his speech, lifestyle, love, faith and purity. This should be the same for you, beloved. It might appear scary to mount that podium and speak to the older members of the congregation or it could look impossible to take that microphone and lead the adult church in worship, but never forget that the one who has commissioned you is bigger, stronger and greater than any opposition that could ever exist. So walk in the confidence of the Lord being on your side and go on to do great exploits. Besides, since the Lord told Paul in 2 Corinthians 12:9 that his grace is sufficient for him, you can as well rest in the confidence of serving the same God whose grace is sufficient for you!

Just concentrate on following the Lord wholeheartedly and staying clear of sin as he leads you to heights unforetold. YOU ARE NEVER TOO YOUNG!

Stay blessed.

Asking right (Part 1)

Meanwhile, the moment we get tired in the waiting, God’s Spirit is right alongside helping us along. If we don’t know how or what to pray, it doesn’t matter. He does our praying in and for us, making prayer out of our wordless sighs, our aching groans.
Romans 8:26 (MSG)

Only God knows exactly what we need and when the best time is to have them. As a loving father, he has our best interests at heart, that is why he chooses the right time to give us the right things. If our requests at certain times do not match what he has decided that we need at such times, we may not get what we requested for. Rather, the father either gives us what he knows we need at those times or keep the answers to our requests until the right time. So when we pray and answers seem not to be forthcoming, we shouldn’t panic or get discouraged, our father will do the very best for us.

So how do we ask for the right things at the right time?

Only God is perfect and it takes one as perfect as God is to precisely request for the right things. The Holy Spirit is as perfect as God is, so he is the best guide for us in prayer if we are to ask right, as believers and children of the father. As seen in the Romans 8:26 above, the Holy Spirit is our helper, he helps us make perfect requests. The more we yield to him leading us in prayer, the best our prayers become. Let’s not trust in our own understanding, but rely completely on the guidance of the Holy Spirit in prayers.

A practical way of doing this is to ask him to help us pray right and yield to his leading as we feel the urge to speak in tongues while praying. He is God and he knows best! This way, we are sure to always ask right.

Stay blessed.

The power in the name of Jesus.

Whomever might be in any bondage whether known to them or not, will receive their deliverance if they call on the name of Jesus in faith and ask for deliverance as they turn a new leaf and dedicate their lives to Christ.

The magnitude of the problem does not matter, neither does  the level of sophistication of the enemies’ armoury. Whatever rank the adversary might occupy in the realm of darkness, the power in the name of Jesus is more than enough to obliterate them!

God is supreme and he has given Jesus a name above every other name, as seen here in Philippians 2:9(NLT): ‘Therefore God elevated him to the place of highest honor and gave him the name above all other names,”

Whatever name might have been lifted up in the stance of your affliction must submit to the power in the name of Jesus once you call upon him. When a superior officer gives a command to a subordinate, the latter has no choice but obey. Philippians 2:10-11(NLT) says: ‘ that at the name of Jesus every knee should bow, in heaven and under the earth, and every tongue confess that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the father.’ The principalities have no choice, they must bow! As long as you fear God and obey his commandments, whenever you call upon the name of Jesus, victory is inevitable!

The assurance of your salvation when you call upon that wonderful name is seen here in Romans 10:13(NLT): ‘For ”Everyone who calls upon the name of the Lord will be saved.” So have no doubt in your heart whenever you call upon that name, the unimaginable happens! The impossible happens! The enemies are destroyed! The broken is repaired! The dead is brought to life! The chains are broken!

Wherever and whenever you notice the rise of any opposition from the realm of darkness, call upon the name of Jesus and the power in that name will work for you, as long as you stand with God.

I heard a powerful song today titled ‘Break every chain’ by Tasha Cobbs. Please endeavour to listen that song. The message is powerfully and insightfully true. A portion of its lyrics says, ”There is power in the name of Jesus to break every chain’. God bless you more, beloved as you press on in faith and victory.

The whole duty of man.

Now all has been heard; here is the conclusion of the matter: Fear God and keep his commandments, for this is the whole [duty] of man.
Ecclesiastes 12:13 (NIV)

Beloved, please imbibe the habit of searching the scriptures intensively, daily  because therein is a lot of wisdom that can make life most fulfilling! Here in the verse above is a profound statement, it says what the whole duty of man is. This appears to be a springboard of every other activity we as humans might engage in as regards the worship of our great King!

If we fear God and keep commandments, living in the light of Christ will be a culture, love will dominate our relationships and ungodliness will have no place. We will be extremely wise because the fear of the Lord is the beginning of wisdom(reference:Proverbs 9:10). If we keep God’s commandment, we will not lose the eternal life that we have in Christ.

We should not fail in this duty, friends. We should be imitable examples that will encourage others to live in God too. To do this, God’s help is needed. Once we are born again, we possess the Holy Spirit and he gives us that power to do what God wants. So, we should always stay with God and allow the Holy Spirit to direct us in every affair.

May we not fail in our whole duty to God as humans in Jesus name.

Abundant life: Thank you,Lord.

The thief does not come except to steal, and to kill, and to destroy. I have come that they may have life, and that they may have it more abundantly.
John 10:10 (NKJV)

Hallelujah to the source of life who gave himself to grant us access to eternal life! It’s amazing if one takes time to comprehend the invaluable nature of the gift of eternal life the saviour has made available to us. It is forever living for those who stay forever faithful to the master.

A lot of frustrating circumstances might pop up in life as we make our way through, but our tenacious faith should be in the source of life who loves us unconditionally,Jesus Christ. Whenever any good thing appear to be dead in your life, please refer to this statement of the Lord giving us life more abundantly in John 10:10. His words are ever true, amen.

I don’t know what ought to be living that is  seemingly dead in your life at the moment, I pray in the name of Jesus that life be restored to it promptly.

Do not endure an existence short of vibrant life, instead, get up in faith, shake off every piece of numbness and enjoy the abundance of the life you have in Christ! Don’t let the devil rob you of that golden heritage that you possess by you wandering into doubt or any iniquity whatsoever, rather remain steadfast in Christ and stay alive!

Tenacious faith

My friend, please hold on to your faith in the Lord Christ with as much tenacity as possible. Let nothing sway you out of that glorious picture of blessed hope and perfect reunion with the father on getting to heaven. Make it a mission statement: I will make heaven,as the Lord helps me.

Let your faith be tenacious; know who you believe and follow him closest ever. In your faith, be able to declare, ‘Jesus it is you or you, no alternative, you are everything’. Let it not be a case of ‘Yes’ or ‘No’, let it always be a ‘YES’ or ‘YES’. Refer to what Shadrach, Meshach and Abednego said in Daniel 3:16-18 and take such a stance for God too. Make the father pleased to know that there is a child of his out there who is ready to stand for him whatever might be.

‘Oceans(where feet may fail)’, a song by Hillsong United has some encouraging lyrics that go thus: ‘Spirit lead me where my trust is without borders, let me walk upon the waters, wherever you would call me, Take me deeper than my feet could ever wander, and my faith will be made stronger, in the presence of my saviour.’ My friend, whatever you might be going through, never doubt the truth that with Jesus, all is well!

He gave his all for you on Calvary, please have all the faith you can in him. He is Lord forevermore. Please spend time in his presence today, give him sincere worship and reaffirm your faith in him. He will soon be back to take us home.
