He is risen!

A worship song’s lyrics go thus:

He is Lord, He is Lord

A worship song’s lyrics go thus:

He is Lord, he is Lord

Amen, he has risen from the dead

He is Lord, every knee shall bow

Every tongue confess, that Jesus Christ is Lord

Great is our God! He is truly the Lord of all!

Let’s pray:

By the power of resurrection, may every good thing in your life receive life again in Jesus name

As the Lord conquered death, so shall every limiting force in your life be conquered in Jesus name

Every stone rolled across the door of your glory can be rolled back today in Jesus name

May your helpers come running to help revive every dead venture of goodness in your life in Jesus name

Good news shall find you

May that dead womb receive life right now in the name of Jesus,

May every unyielding force militating against your success bow to the superiority of Christ today in Jesus name

As for every helper who has forgotten you, may there be a divine remembrance and reconnection of you to such persons in the name of Jesus

As the death of Christ has brought us life, so may your family bubble with eternal life in the name of Jesus

Sickness in your life shall die

Favour shall become synonymous with you in the name of Jesus

Every battle going on in the spiritual realm over your life, may the Lord of the battle step in and give you victory today in Jesus name

Go and succeed

Go and prosper

Go and flourish

Go and fulfil destiny

Go and do exploits

Go and possess your possessions in the name of Jesus

Go and live, live and keep living, even as Christ has brought you eternal life.

It shall be well with you now and always.

In the name of the Lord Jesus.

Beloved, it takes faith in God to get answers to these prayers, please believe as you say them. Also, you must live in holiness before God as well, before answers can be gotten.

Live for God, live for life, live in the blessed Lord that arose today those many years ago and is still alive today and will still be living forevermore!

Tell someone else about him, spread his love and continue to triumph in Jesus name.

God bless you!

He is risen!

Let go and let God.

‘Now all glory to God, who is able, through his mighty power at work within us, to accomplish infinitely more than we might ask or think.’
Ephesians 3:20 (NLT)

My friend, the message to you today is: Don’t employ force to be righteous by yourself, rather, allow God to carry you by the power of his spirit at work in you.

You might be so enthusiastic about your christian faith and walk with Christ that you might begin to rely more on yourself than on God for guidance. You might put up standards so high that you push yourself to the extreme to attain them and if you don’t reach them, you might feel bad and hence comes the temptation to fall into the pits of self-pity and self-condemnation. Never rely on your strength to attain righteousness in Christ! Only him can help you attain and maintain his lofty standards. Let go of the wheel of control in your hands and hand it over to God. Open your heart to the infinite power of the Holy Spirit at work in you as the redeemed.

If you could attain righteousness by yourself, you wouldn’t have needed salvation. But you can’t, that’s why God brought the permanent solution in Christ Jesus, that whosoever believeth in him will not perish but have everlasting life. That faith must be sustained in Jesus to maintain the status of righteousness before God and the Holy Spirit is that agent of maintenance dwelling in you. Let him work. Don’t stifle him by trying to stay in the driver’s seat. He won’t use force on you, as he is a gentle person. He needs you to surrender to him. He works with you as you submit. Don’t let your image get so big in your mind that you might strive to maintain the lofty standards that people have known you for by your efforts of righteous living rather than the help of the Holy Spirit. You should ask him for help every step of the way. See him as your source of spiritual oxygen. See him as your compass. Admit that you are lost without him. Rely solely on him. Tell him to help you be more like Christ in all your ways. According to Ephesians 3:20 quoted above, he is able to accomplish anything, far beyond what you could ever imagine. That lofty height of holiness that you might be envisioning is possible with the help of the Holy Spirit. Let go of the reins of trying to be holy by your own efforts and let God take over. Letting God take over does not mean that you should let in complacency,no! Rather, it means that you should do more studying, more praying and ultimately more reliance on God for guidance through the Holy Spirit as you journey home.

Since it took faith to initiate your walk with God, it will definitely take faith to continue it. Keep living in faith as you surrender to the Holy Spirit’s leading.

Let go and let God.

Stay blessed.

A better tomorrow!

How time flies! 2013 is just a few days from being over. Don’t worry, those goals that couldn’t be met this year could be given a better approach and thus achieved even next year. So, start planning to introduce new strategies and avoid the mistakes you have made this year even as you stay optimistic. Friend, I want to share something very interesting with you. A reason to be excited about life and what tomorrow holds. Today doesn’t have to always determine tomorrow especially if it isn’t good. God can bring about a tomorrow that is entirely alienated from what today might have brought you. Let go of the heartbreaks and failures. With God, there is a better tomorrow!

‘For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the Lord, “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future.’
Jeremiah 29:11 (NIV)

The same God who said this concerning Israel is still the God who is our father. He made this declaration concerning Israel, and as his beloved, believe him for the same goodness too. All the more why you should search the scriptures is to discover the various promises God has for you as his child, as someone who loves him, promises like the ones in Psalm 91:14-16. God keeps his words. If he says he will, yes he will. So if he says there is a hope and a future, yes there is! I believe that, as his beloved, I have a better tomorrow ahead regardless of what today might look like. I believe that there is an oasis beyond the vast stretch of encroached land that fills the horizon today. Friend, please resonate my optimism. For yourself. For the church. For your country. For your family. Believe that there is a better tomorrow. If you believe it in your heart, it will eventually manifest in the physical too, at the Lord’s time and according to his will.

Be careful of what you think as the Lord sees all that goes on. Do not block your blessings by negative proclamations. Always confess the positives. Your thoughts sometimes birth your words, so in other to forestall any ill utterance, it is better to ponder on the right things  in your mind. Let’s see the Lord’s response to the Israelites as an example of the importance of saying the right things:

‘So tell them, ‘As surely as I live, declares the Lord, I will do to you the very things I heard you say:’
Numbers 14:28 (NIV)

What are you saying in the ears of God today? Beloved, I believe in God for a better tomorrow, please do too. And as you believe it, begin to confess it in faith.

Think right. Speak right. There is a better tomorrow right ahead.

God bless you more.

There is a king in you.

If I asked you your name, you’ll give me the answer without hesitation. If I asked you whose child you are, you would most likely answer instantaneously as well. Then if I asked you what’s your identity as seen by God, what would your response be?

If you are born-again, let me tell you because I know it. Why? Because I am born-again too! We are royalty! We are kings and queens! We are a holy nation! We are peculiar people! We belong to the eternal king who has the greatest dynasty ever. Our father’s reign can never be terminated because he can never die,so, we are forever royals!

Now,on earth, we are faced by various challenges and in the course of the struggle, there is a tendency to forget who we really are. Satan throws lies in the air and the cacophony of his falsehood could drown the truth being softly spoken to us. He knows the truth. But to keep us from reigning, he has to keep the stream of lies flowing all over the landscape. My friend, no matter how real a lie might appear, the truth is still the original. Life might have stressed you but that doesn’t change the fact that God has blessed you. You are royalty. You are not a loser. You are not a failure. You might have had it bad in the past, friend, now it is a new day with Christ. Keep it in mind that God won’t abandon you. He is always with you. That ugly situation can be reversed. Dry your tears. Let go of your fears. That broken relationship can be mended. Embrace who you are in Christ. Just look within you, see that king, see that queen, smile to yourself and say ‘I am here to reign’. It might look hard to do, but if you make up your mind to do it, you will discover it. That DNA cannot be changed. You carry God inside you. There is a king in you.

Dear ruler, begin to create that world you want to see. Speak those things into life. Those positive things. Those beautiful trains of events. Your father created order in this present world in the beginning through spoken words. Speak now. Begin to profess your success. Erase failure. Stamp your authority on life. God lives within you. There is a king in you!

Peter was here on earth before us as a disciple of the master. Let’s see what he says here about us:

‘But you are a chosen people, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, a people belonging to God, that you may declare the praises of him who called you out of darkness into his wonderful light.’
1 Peter 2:9 (NIV)

Let go of that picture of the past. Rise from the ashes and begin to live in your rulership from this instant. Speak positivity. Those failures do not define you. Speak light and the darkness will disappear. The only boundary to your authority is God’s will. Only his will,as your father, governs whatever you decree. So,begin to live in your identity, friend. You are better than you know. You are more powerful in Christ than you know. There is a king in you!

As an inspiration, you could listen to Donald Lawrence’s ‘There is a king in you’.

Keep ruling!

Have a plan: Be specific.

As a sequel to the earlier post on planning, I’d like to share an insight with you, my friend. Planning is good, however,to get the best results, one has to be specific in his or her plans. You have to customise that plan to fit the project’s purpose. Conversely, you need a plan that’s tailor-made. Let’s examine this illustration: Supposing a man wants to embark on a journey of 40000 miles and he begins to plan for the trip. He plans to fill his car’s fuel tank to full capacity. Although, at full capacity, the tank can only hold fuel enough to travel for just 500 miles. Now, does he not have a plan? Going forward, would he succeed with his plan? He planned but his plan wasn’t specific to his purpose. He could start smoothly but he will definitely run into some problems because he didn’t have the foresight to customise his plan to suit his purpose.

To plan effectively, you need to understand your purpose. Only then can you make the best plan that suits that purpose. If you know that you would be in a marathon race, your training plans would be specific to that and not for a 100m dash. Don’t etch your plan in a hurry, take time to be sure that you are giving the project the best approach.

As said in the previous post, you must involve God from the start to the end of your planning process. He is the alpha and omega. He has the ultimate say in your affairs. Efforts could be made but success is of the Lord.

‘So then it is not of him who wills, nor of him who runs, but of God who shows mercy.’
Romans 9:16 (NKJV)

His presence in the process makes the difference. His mercy ensures that one’s plan does not end in futility.

Involve the Lord. Know your purpose. Customise a plan. Proceed with faith. Experience success.

It shall always be well with you.

The greater one.

One who has the backing of the most powerful Lord that could ever be needs not be frightened by any opposition whatsoever. As a believer, the Lord is with you and you need not be afraid of any party that is against you. The worst they can do is try. However, defeat is ultimately theirs as you hold on to Christ and trust him for protection.

It doesn’t matter what threats the enemy might have issued to you boastfully. It doesn’t matter what strategies they might be putting in place to orchestrate a downfall. Be reassured that God has the final say and he will always decide in your favour as his child. See the words of the Lord here:

‘Call your councils of war, but they will be worthless. Develop your strategies, but they will not succeed. For God is with us!”
Isaiah 8:10 (NLT)

Whatever your enemies do, confidently await their failure because God is with you. He is the greater one whom no one is as great as or greater than. He is the Almighty, the consuming fire. Whenever troubles seem to flow like an overwhelming river, don’t panic. Raise up your praise of the Almighty God and see him take charge of your battle as Jehovah, the man of war,the Lord of the battle. Your victory in God is inevitable because God can not be defeated.

Darkness is the antagonist of light. Your enemies belongs to the devil’s camp. The spirit at work in them antagonises the spirit of the living God that worketh in you. No matter how scary they appear, they can do you nothing with God by your side. Stand firm and see the victory that the Lord your God will give to you.  With Christ Jesus, you are victorious already as seen here:

‘But you belong to God, my dear children. You have already won a victory over those people, because the Spirit who lives in you is greater than the spirit who lives in the world.’
1 John 4:4 (NLT)

The greater one lives in you.

Are you ready?(The Preparation)

You must have been thinking ‘ready for what?’ in response to the interrogative title of this post. Ultimately, you must be ready for the Lord’s return as a believer. This post is to encourage you to examine your readiness ‘for the next level’.

A lot of people including myself aspire to reach levels higher than we are presently,a better land, greater pastures etc.Fortunately,God as a wonderful father has the best of fortunes ready for his children. So, as a heir of God, be rest assured of a golden future with Christ by your side. However, there is an important question that you need to answer, ‘are you ready for that future?’

Let’s learn from Esther’s story. Esther, Mordecai cousin, was  a young woman who was fortunate to be among the young women selected as potential replacements for Queen Vashti who had been dethroned by King Ahasuerus. In Esther 2:12, it is recorded that there was a special treatment that each of the young women had to go through. This was a stage of preparation. In other words, to be at their best, to be good enough for the king, they had to be made ready. Even though they were good enough to have been chosen in the first instance, they had to be made ready for the higher position they were aspiring to be at. This means that one might need some requisite skills to succeed at a higher level. Only when one possesses the finesse and skills needed, can one be deemed ready for that higher level. Friend, are you ready? Do you think that you have all the boxes checked? That higher level that you are aiming for could require more technicality and poise, do you have those already? You might possess the natural talents needed to exist at that level you are aiming for like the young women did, but to succeed at that higher level, you need to polish and sharpen those talents. You need to be prepared like the young women were, you need to be at your best. Being ‘good’ is not ‘good enough’, at the top, only the best is good enough. So, to consider yourself ready for that top level, check to see that you are at your best. And if you are, then congratulations on having the father’s grace as an advantage to succeed.

A lot of times you could hear people complaining about the lack of opportunities, but the truth is, are they ready were the opportunities to come right now?  Can they fill the shoes that they are asking for? If you are really determined to reach that height, my friend, then you must be at your best.

”You don’t conquer Everest, thinking and climbing like you do to reach an upper bunk of a double-decker.”

”If 4-foot deep pool is your domain of excellence, you had better learn floating skills to survive in the Pacific.”

The quotes above are to buttress the importance of you being ready to reach and conquer that next level.

Pray to the father for help so that you will be able do all that you have to do to be ready when the call comes in for the next level.

Stay victorious!

Beloved, our principal enemies are not seen physically, they are unseen entities from the realm of darkness(reference: Ephesians 6:14). Now, this forces do not care about one’s welfare. All they are interested in is bringing one down, making sure that glorious destinies get destroyed and purposes remain unfulfilled. However, you can decide what you want to do, whether you want to fight back or let them roam your world. Fortunately, with Christ on your side as a believer, you have an advantage. It’s however up to you to either use this advantage or not. The devil is their chief, making him our foremost enemy. 1 John 5:8 describes him as a lion whose mission is to destroy. Also,John 10:10 talks about the three-fold mission of the thief; to steal, kill and destroy; you can decide to ward off this thief by standing firm and staying too hot for him to touch. When you are too hot and too tough for him to handle, he backs off. When your life becomes a danger  zone to those entities from the realm of darkness, they retreat in defeat. My pastor does say something that I would like to put this way, ‘You can’t stop a bird from flying, but you can prevent it from perching on your head.’ In essence, don’t allow the enemies to encroach your life, be on fire!

Now, how do you stay hot?

It is important to say here that the ‘hot’ being referred to is spiritual fierceness, toughness and gallantry, not literal hotness. You stay spiritually hot by being a person of prayer. You have to be given to praying time after time. When your prayers get too hot to stand for the enemy, they flee.

The Lord used a parable in Luke 18 to point that ‘we ought to pray and not to faint’. In this spiritual  warfare, you have to stay alert and fit and this has to be done in the place of prayer. The Apostle Paul admonished in Ephesians 6:18 that: In the same way, prayer is essential in this ongoing warfare. Pray hard and long. Pray for your brothers and sisters. Keep your eyes open. Keep each other’s spirits up so that no one falls behind or drops out.
Ephesians 6:18 (MSG)
He also said in another of his letters that: ‘Never stop praying.’ 1 Thessalonians 5:17 (NLT)
Beloved, this could be a wake-up call for you, please heed it. Our perfect role model, Jesus Christ, prayed extensively while on earth. You should imitate him. Become a person of prayer. Please protect that glorious destiny committed into your hands. Don’t let the enemy mess you up. You are already victorious in Christ Jesus, only persist in that victory as you pray ceaselessly and study the word diligently. Always remember that the enemy has no sympathy for you, therefore, be fierce in the place of prayer as you stand firm in the Lord your God. May you never be a prey even as you continue to pray.

It is important to note that praying does not mean that you are the one to fight the battle, rather you are making your intentions as a firebrand known and as well sending your requests to the Almighty God. The Lord is the one to grant victory as he crushes every opposition on your behalf . Plus, prayer, praise and worship is an unbeatable mixture! It is lethal to the enemy!

Please start today by praying to the Lord to empower you to pray as much as you should.

Don’t be a powerless person, be a prayerful person, be on fire!

If we could exhaustively comprehend the depth of the love of Christ for us,we would know much more how wonderful, beautiful and forgiving our darling saviour is. There is no hatred whatsoever in him towards us. What he detests is sin,not us. And once sin is off the scene,we’d be able to begin to comprehend how great his love for us is. He left heaven and all the majesty of his throne and came to earth to pay the ultimate price for our sins. Humility was and is still so clearly personified in our role model,Jesus Christ, who chose to serve and save. We couldn’t help ourselves so he came to be our salvation and even now,he still is . He took the pains, the shame and paid off all our debts of sin. Nothing can ever get us the righteousness that Jesus has brought us. Hallelujah!

There is no wickedness in him. He is full of endless love. A major theme of his ministry was and will always be love because he is love himself. He doesn’t want anyone to perish. He is always there, waiting to be allowed in(Revelation 3:20). How glorious!

Romans 8:35-38 contains an amazing and interesting description of the love of Christ for us. A love that made him lay down his life to save us,his friends(Matthew 15:13). That love will never end,as long as we stay true and faithful to him. Even when we err,he does not stop loving us,he loves us still. We only need to retrace our steps in repentance so that we might not lose the life that we have in him.

My friend, always remember that no matter what may be,the love of Christ for us is greater than we know. So continue in him and never stop loving him for loving us first.

I’m writing this short poem to him in appreciation, you could leave yours below too in gratitude.

Mighty and royal,

to the cause of redemption, you were loyal

battered and bruised

to saving me,you remained true

No treasure could buy

what you paid for with your life

And in all of eternity

none could surpass you in humility

You are my all!

Divine speed.

‘Then the Lord gave special strength to Elijah. He tucked his cloak into his belt and ran ahead of Ahab’s chariot all the way to the entrance of Jezreel.’
1 Kings 18:46 (NLT)

If what Elijah did happened in present times, it would have been a hard record to beat, if it were possible at all to beat it. That wasn’t just any man running! That was a man enabled by God to run that way! That was a man who had divine speed working in him! If the Lord grants you divine speed, the impossible can be achieved in no time. You will be a wonder to many as your efficiency and accuracy will be beyond human comprehension. Just as a rare a feat as that which Prophet Elijah achieved in the verse above, such can you also achieve, if you ask the Lord for divine speed and he blesses you with it.

Maybe you are  less than impressed with where you are at the moment, thinking to yourself that you ought to have gone farther already, that you should be at a higher level than where you are presently. If these are your thoughts at the moment, please don’t be discouraged. Put your faith up, thank God for where you are and pray to him to take you to that place where you should be in his plans for your life. Remember, before you were born, he knew the entirety of your life. Also, probably you’ve not been at you best at work or in your studies and you feel that you’ve been too slow in doing the right things, ask the Lord for that speed that will enable you to work with the utmost efficiency. Just the way your life has been in his hands from the beginning, so should you continue to trust him with it. He is God and he can restore anything,so,please keep trusting him.

Something very interesting happened in John 6:15, the Lord Jesus joined a boat in transit and by his divine enablement, the boat arrived at its destination immediately! At this point, I call my Lord the Lord of immediacy! What speed! Simply unbeatable! He can do the same to your life! He can take you from where you are to where you are meant to be. Simply pray to him to enable you!

Don’t doubt him, ask in faith and believe him for the answer. He can make you divinely speedy!

(Ask + Faith: Matthew 7:7 + Hebrews 11:6)
