No turning back!

A letter to the redeemed,

Friend, please don’t practise seasonal followership of Christ. Be a full-time Christian. Whether good or bad, happy or sad, abundance or scarcity, whatever might pop up on the horizon, stay faithful to Christ Jesus. He gave his all for you, you should give your all to him as well.

‘At this point many of his disciples turned away and deserted him.’ John 6:66 (NLT)

At what points do you turn your back to the cross too? At what point do you take the garment of righteousness off and adorn the robes of worldliness? At what point is compromise excusable to you? Beloved, AT NO POINT should you forsake the love of Christ. At no point should you roll in the pit of sin. Let your motto be ‘HAPPILY A CHRISTIAN ANYWHERE,ANY TIME’. Never discard that trademark because it is your passport to eternal life.

Sometimes, the going gets rough, the weather could get stormy. Always remember that the Lord didn’t promise us funfare all the way home, because even he had challenges while on earth. But he has spoken here in John 16:33(NLT):

”I have told you all this so that you may have peace in me. Here on earth you will have many trials and sorrows. But take heart, because I have overcome the world.”

So friend, just hold on to the peace in Christ when those troubles come up and it seems as if a new dawn won’t break. Victory is surely ours at the end of the day because Jesus Christ has said that he has overcome the world and you know that his word is true. Also, believe God, the wait, the endurance and all that we go through while on earth will all be worth it when finally we get home and receive our rewards from the father. To buttress this, see what the Apostle Paul said here:

‘Yet what we suffer now is nothing compared to the glory he will reveal to us later.’
Romans 8:18 (NLT)
My dear, please hold on. Never turn back. It will all be worth it in the end when our saviour we see. Some of those you call friends or even family, may be despising you for your faithfulness to Christ at the moment, hold on. You may be experiencing persecution and rejection in the course of your walk with the saviour at the moment, hold on. You are special. You are chosen. You are a co-heir with Christ.

‘Christ is enough’, a song by Hillsong United has some parts of its lyrics that go thus: ‘The cross before me, the world behind me, no turning back.’ Please live this statement and hold on to the end. Don’t turn back, you are on the right path.

I love you and Jesus loves you more.

A co-sojourner on the way to heaven.

NEVER TOO YOUNG

‘Don’t let anyone think less of you because you are young. Be an example to all believers in what you say, in the way you live, in your love, your faith and your purity.’ 1 Timothy 4:12(NLT)

Timothy was endowed spiritually as stated by what the Apostle Paul wrote in 1 Timothy 4:14. He had a responsibility and Paul as an elder in ministry was admonishing him through his letter to him. It is good that one has a mentor in ministry who is genuinely concerned about one’s growth and development as a servant of the most high. I pray that may the Lord bring a connection between you and your appointed mentor in the journey of faith in Jesus name.

My friend,as long as the Lord has set you apart for a purpose and set you in motion for that purpose, you are never too young. Regardless of your what some people might say to spite you as regarding your age, hold on tenaciously to the promise of God to you and stay completely submissive to him. The Lord is perfect and so whatever time that he decides to send you forth is the perfect time, irrespective of how young you might be.

However,it is important to live an exemplary life so that one’s ministerial purposes might be most effectively achieved. Paul advised Timothy to be an example in his speech, lifestyle, love, faith and purity. This should be the same for you, beloved. It might appear scary to mount that podium and speak to the older members of the congregation or it could look impossible to take that microphone and lead the adult church in worship, but never forget that the one who has commissioned you is bigger, stronger and greater than any opposition that could ever exist. So walk in the confidence of the Lord being on your side and go on to do great exploits. Besides, since the Lord told Paul in 2 Corinthians 12:9 that his grace is sufficient for him, you can as well rest in the confidence of serving the same God whose grace is sufficient for you!

Just concentrate on following the Lord wholeheartedly and staying clear of sin as he leads you to heights unforetold. YOU ARE NEVER TOO YOUNG!

Stay blessed.

Keep the rest,beat the stress(Part 2)

”I am leaving you with a gift-peace of mind and heart. And the peace I give is a gift the world cannot give. So don’t be troubled or afraid.” John 14:27(NLT)

The lord left us an invaluable gift,in addition to salvation. He gave us peace of mind and heart.A peace that is very necessary if one is live a life free of trouble and fear.

Friend, are you in any way perturbed?I’m glad to let you know that as a christian, the peace you need has been made available long ago, before you were born. What you have to do is rededicate your life to the master and pray to him to fill you on the inside. And by faith, live in your heritage!

Walking confidently in the peace of mind and heart is a way of keeping the rest which the Lord gives and beating the stress of whatever burden that might come your way.

Remain blessed in the Lord Jesus Christ.

FINISHING WELL

It is important for you to finish well,my friend. Starting well is good, but finishing well is the best.

‘Don’t you realize that in a race everyone runs, but only one person gets the prize? So run to win! 1 Corinthians 9:24(NLT)

You are on a sojourn through this world with heaven being the ultimate destination as a Christian. Nothing should be strong enough to take you off-course because he who dwells in you is greater than he who dwells in the world. Everything you need to succeed on your sojourn is in God,all you have to do is to make him your centre of focus. Pray to him for strength when you feel tired. Always pray to him for guidance. The Lord said in John 4:14 that the water he gives becomes a fresh bubbling spring within those who drink it.It gives eternal life. So,my friend,Jesus is always there to give you strength and freshen you when you feel tired.

To succeed in a race, you need discipline. The discipline to do the right things at the right time. The discipline to prioritize rightly. Beloved, it is very crucial that you stay focused on your destination. This world is transient.Never let its glamour distract you and make you derail. No extravagance in the world can be compared to the splendour in the eternal kingdom of our father. Having a relationship with Christ is good, however, staying with him to the end is the best for you.

Run this race to eternity to win.Make up your mind to finish well. Always pray to the Lord for strength and trust him to help you.

Tomorrow is Sunday. Praise the father in church like you’ve never done before.

Stay blessed.

Don’t deny Jesus Christ.

Chosen generation, peculiar people, please, never deny Jesus Christ. Wherever, whenever, let his light be seen shining brightly in your lifestyle. Without people being told, let them be able to suppose that you are a CHRISTIAN based on the traits of holiness that they see in you.

Youths, especially, should be very careful when it comes to this crucial topic of not losing one’s identify as a christian. It’s so easy to get lost in the crowd and hop on the ride of sin, with so much distractions that now abound  in the forms of immoral music and indecent dressing. We should stand for God always. Let the light of Christ be seen in you!

Please note that denial is not only in the verbal form,it could also be attitudinal. So,whenever your attitude negates the identify of who you should be as a christian, then you are practicing attitudinal denial of Christ Jesus.

The Lord said in Matthew 10:33(NLT):”But everyone who denies me here on earth, I will also deny before my Father in heaven.”

Never deny Jesus Christ.
