YOU CAN BE SURE!

A young boy was asked by his teacher if he was Foluso Williams. He said he was not. Later, he said he thinks he was. The teacher was surprised at his state of confusion and asked him to confirm who he was from his parents. The boy came back the next day to declare to his teacher, saying, “My daddy said that his name is Mr. Williams and so I am also Foluso Williams.”

As funny as it might sound, this is the state some believers have found themselves in today. Why should you be confused about where you belong? Why can you not state convincingly who owns you? Why are you not sure of who begat you? I tell you today, YOU CAN BE SURE YOU ARE A CHRISTIAN! Yes you can!
This is the proof: “For as many as believed on him, he gave power to become the sons of God.” John 1:12

So you are a Christian if you have believed in the finished work of Jesus. You need not to be confused again! Glory to God!

Further, as a christian, here are three Bible verses to keep in mind as concerns you being saved and having God as your father:

1. Confession of Jesus:

That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved.’ Romans 10:9

2.  Witness in your spirit:

‘The Spirit itself beareth witness with our spirit, that we are the children of God.’ Romans 8:16

3.The proof of the Holy Spirit:

‘In whom ye also trusted, after that ye heard the word of truth, the gospel of your salvation: in whom also after that ye believed, ye were sealed with that holy Spirit of promise.’
Ephesians 1:13.

Don’t be tossed to and fro any longer! Know who you are and where you stand. You belong to God! Call him ‘Abba!’ with joy!

I’m proud to have God as my Father! Can you say that as well??
