‘For the Kingdom of God is not a matter of what we eat or drink, but of living a life of goodness and peace and joy in the Holy Spirit.’ Romans 14:17 (NLT)
God’s ways are surely different from man’s ways,so are his thoughts and priorities.
Being born-again is being born into a new culture- a new way of thinking, loving, analysing and prioritising. This new way of life is borne by the Spirit of God, not mortal conventions.
Jesus Christ saw things differently from the religious leaders during his time on earth, because what they held as principal was not the most important with God. Just as it was in their days, so is it now!
Friend, beware! Do not get occupied with so ‘many religious activities’ and end up neglecting what is of paramount importance to God. Be like Mary, who in Luke 10:42, was said to have discovered the most important thing.
Apostle Paul has simply told us what matters to the Kingdom of God in the theme verse above: A life of goodness, peace and joy in the Holy Spirit. Such a life can only be lived by the guidance of the Lord himself. Love matters too!
Please pray to the Lord to guide you through his values and principles so that you may be able to understand and do that which matters to him.
Attending to the matters that matter is not just done by obvious activity, rather,it is done by the leading of the trinity.
