Deeper Submission,Deeper Knowledge

submit (1)

Glory to God! I have been studying his word on another level, a higher level, and I feel so excited about it!

I want to grasp the truth in God’s words so that I can teach others this truth! And I am glad that I am growing in doing just that!

Something came to mind today and I want to share it with you:

‘Your degree of submission to God will,to a great extent, determine the level of the revelation of him that you have.’

Yes! How much of yourself you give to God, will largely determine how much of his mysteries you get the privilege to understand.

God will not show his treasures to an uncommitted being! He loves those who seek him truly;those who do not enthrone their will, instead of his.

If you want to know more about God, you have to submit more to him!

I hope you do this,my beloved friend, and I sincerely pray that you have a happy spiritual voyage of discovering deeper truth about our great God.

Please share with me,as you discover more!

Stay enlightened!

Reach out!

The world is full of sin. Corruption pervades daily life. There is so much ungodliness across continents. Phew!

What should a Christian do in the midst of all these?

‘Stay out! Don’t get involved so that you don’t get corrupted!’

That would be the default course of action or response by someone who wants to steer clear of corruption.

However, Jesus did not come for those who are already whole, or righteous. He came for the lost sheep, the sick, the hopeless and those are headed for condemnation(Mark 2:17).

He reached out to the unsaved and keeps reaching out to them through believers globally!

Believer, that is what you should do as well. Reach out!

Jesus is counting on you to continue reaching out, even on a greater level than he did(John 14:12).

Don’t live in your own redeemed world and shut out the love of God that you know from those who don’t know about it yet.

Just as Jesus said in Matthew 5:16, let your light shine before men! Let it illuminate the world of the unsaved too, so that they can cross over into light and become members of the Royal Priesthood that is talked about in 1 Peter 2:9.

Reach out at school, work, play, everywhere. Be interested in helping someone else find the love of God that you have found.

Beloved, don’t stay out and watch the unsaved go to hell. Reach out and help them find the way of life,Jesus Christ.

Jesus has given you the license to reach out in Matthew 28:19. Please use this license to help someone find Life.

Jesus is Life.

The worshiper: Be a true one.

The Lights' Blog

The true worshiper- that human being that worships the father from the heart and not from the head; that being whose entire life is an offering of worship unto God! Are you a worshiper?

‘But the time is coming—indeed it’s here now—when true worshipers will worship the Father in spirit and in truth. The Father is looking for those who will worship him that way.’  John 4:23 (NLT)

Worship goes beyond singing. It is a lifestyle, one that is made of various activities that can all be rolled into one huge act of worship to the Almighty God. Everything a true worshiper does is in the consciousness of the sovereignty of God. This reverence for God governs the way that he or she lives. A true worshipper is led by the spirit of God, thus endorsed as a child of God (Romans 8:14).

A true worshiper knows God,what pleases him…

Say no to hell!

The Lights' Blog

Don't go to hell.

When you were being created, you didn’t have a say. When your colour was chosen, you didn’t have a say. When your place of birth and nationality were chosen, you didn’t have a say. However, in deciding your home for eternity, you have a say. Which would it be, heaven or hell? You could either say Yes or No. As a friend who wants the best for you, I’m advising you to say ‘NO’ to hell. Hell is where those who eventually do not belong to Christ go to. Those who are in sin at the end of their lives, hell is where they end up.

God loves you and he has given you a say, a chance to choose where you want to spend eternity. He sent Jesus to die for you so that all the sins you’ve ever committed will written be off and a new life will begin…

The Day of The Lord

“Look, I will come as unexpectedly as a thief! Blessed are all who are watching for me, who keep their clothing ready so they will not have to walk around naked and ashamed.” Revelation 16:15 (NLT)

It is nearer than ever now! The day of reckoning of which the past and the present have been talking about.

My friend, are you ready to be examined?

Will you pass God’s examination and proceed into heaven if he were to check your works today?

There will be no turning back. The verdict will be passed.

Jesus Christ has done his part. He has paid the highest price in all of history. He did it for you.

Are you doing your part?

Apostle Paul said ‘Dear friends, if we deliberately continue sinning after we have received knowledge of the truth, there is no longer any sacrifice that will cover these sins. There is only the terrible expectation of God’s judgment and the raging fire that will consume his enemies.’ Hebrews 10:26-27 NLT

Do not be caught on the side of the enemies of God. Do not embrace double dealing. Be faithful to Christ.  Be a friend of God. Always be ready.

Please restate your commitment to God at this moment and be determined to live for him alone.

I hope that you will go marching in with the saints!

Stay true!

The Things That Matter

‘For the Kingdom of God is not a matter of what we eat or drink, but of living a life of goodness and peace and joy in the Holy Spirit.’ Romans 14:17 (NLT)

God’s ways are surely different from man’s ways,so are his thoughts and priorities.

Being born-again is being born into a new culture- a new way of thinking, loving, analysing and prioritising. This new way of life is borne by the Spirit of God, not mortal conventions.

Jesus Christ saw things differently from the religious leaders during his time on earth,  because what they held as principal was not the most important with God. Just as it was in their days, so is it now!

Friend, beware! Do not get occupied with so ‘many religious activities’ and end up neglecting what is of paramount importance to God. Be like Mary, who in Luke 10:42, was said to have discovered the most important thing.

Apostle Paul has simply told us what matters to the Kingdom of God in the theme verse above: A life of goodness, peace and joy in the Holy Spirit. Such a life can only be lived by the guidance of the Lord himself. Love matters too!

Please pray to the Lord to guide you through his values and principles so that you may be able to understand and do that which matters to him.

Attending to the matters that matter is not just done by obvious activity, rather,it is done by the leading of the trinity.

Stay right!

There is more!

“I tell you the truth, anyone who believes in me will do the same works I have done, and even greater works, because I am going to be with the Father.” John 14:12 (NLT)

There are more souls to win, more lands to reach; more love to give; more prayers to be said; more to endure; more joy to be experienced; more faith to be demonstrated; more peace to be accessed, all in Christ Jesus!

The Lord left us an explicit  command in Matthew 28:20: We must be soul-winners!

Of course, more is not to be accomplished by the strength of our arms, rather, by the power of the Lord in us through his Spirit.

How much of more are you willing to do?

Please ask the Lord to teach you to rely on the Holy Spirit within you so that you can do more exploits for His Kingdom!

Preach more, pray more, love more and do more good works!

Go on to more, beloved, and do greater works for the saviour who gave His all for you.

Again,whose voice is it?

Listen for His voice

‘But I am not surprised! Even Satan disguises himself as an angel of light.’ 2 Corinthians 11:14 (NLT)

Even Satan disguises as an angel of light. Even Satan speaks!

Beware that you do not erroneously obey the devil, thinking that you are obeying God’s voice.

In the record of the Lord’s temptation seen in Matthew 4, it is shown that Satan came to speak to Jesus, prompting him to do certain things. However, the Lord knew that the voice was Satan’s,so, he(Jesus) was able to stand his ground against him(the devil).

There are some thoughts or instructions that might come into your mind that appear godly and good. You must take time to examine such thoughts and be sure that it is the Lord that is prompting you, not the devil.

At first, this practice of trying to establish a distinction among spirits might appear strange to you. Do not worry. As time goes on, it will become second-nature to you and you will easily decipher which voice is God’s and which is not.

Please note that you could hear God’s voice, Satan’s voice or the voice of your own thoughts. Be careful to know which is God’s.

‘Dear friends, do not believe everyone that claims to speak by the Spirit. You must test them to see if the spirit they have comes from God. For there are many false prophets in the world.’ 1 John 4:1 (NLT)

How to test every spirit:

Examine what is being said in relation to the word of God. If there is any contradiction, then it is not from God.

God is truth!

His words brings light!

Stay believing!

Whose voice is it?

Whose voice is it

‘And the LORD came and called as before, ”Samuel! Samuel!” And Samuel replied, ”Speak, your servant is listening.”

1 Samuel 3:10 (NLT)

The first time the Lord spoke to Samuel, he didn’t recognize God’s voice because he had never heard it before. As time went on, he knew God’s voice and his life and ministry flourished on the divine instructions the LORD spoke to him!

Every human must recognize and endeavour to harken to the voice of the LORD!

Do you know the LORD, do you know his voice?

In John 10:27-28, Jesus said that his sheep listen to his voice, he knows them and they know him. When he speaks, they know he is the speaker. They cannot be fooled.

Recognizing the voice of the LORD is a component of one’s relationship with him.

If you are one of those longing to recognize God’s voice, you need to do the following:

  • Spend more time worshiping him in songs and prayers
  • Spend more time reading his words
  • Spend more time praying
  • Spend more time telling others about Jesus Christ
  • Spend more time conversing with your spiritual leaders- ask them questions relating to your walk with God.

God is, and he speaks. Be calm before him, as you endeavour to listen to him. Do not rush out of his presence.

Communication should be two-way. You talk to God, expect and wait for his response.

I pray that may your life experience the divine abundance that the Lord’s presence brings as he speaks to you, even as your relationship with him gets deeper in Jesus name.

Stay connected to God.

Rest in blessings!

Promotion is of the Lord

”And all the tall trees will know that it is I, the LORD, who cuts the tall tree down and makes the short tree grow tall. It is I who makes the green tree wither and gives the dead tree new life. I, the LORD, have spoken, and I will do what I said!” Ezekiel 17:24 (NLT)

If God has promised you promotion, please stay faithful to him, and it will happen in due time. God’s words carry power and truth. They(His words) are targeted at accomplishing what the Almighty has said.

Do not try to take over from God by trying to hasten your upward move in life through ungodly means such as bribery and lying. No. The one who has spoken is able to do what he said!

Your faith, diligence and commitment to getting better at the good you do will help you be ready when God’s promotion for you come.

Your promotion is ultimately, the lord’s doing, not any human’s. Do not place your trust and focus on any mortal as the source of your promotion.

If you humble yourself before God and believe in him wholly, you will be lifted beyond the realms of your human expectations.

Keep believing, keep excelling!

Kindly share this with others.
