5 things you should always remember.

My pastor, Pastor Magnus Ahamba, gave a soul-searching sermon in church today on five things one should always remember while still on earth and I feel obliged to share them with you, beloved reader.
Here are the five entities:

1. God: Always remember God. All through your years, never forget his existence and greatness. (See: Ecclesiastes 12:1)

2. Death: That inevitable fate of mortal life. It is real and secretive about its schedule. Death doesn’t make an announcement of when and whom it’s coming to visit. Plus,it  doesn’t consider age of its host. (See:Psalm 49:10,17; Psalm 89:48;Hebrews 12:7)

3. Judgement : That final assessment of your life, when all has been said and done on your part, before the Almighty God, who will decide your deserved end. (See:Hebrews 9:27)
4. Hell: Hell is no fiction! It is as real as real can get! Please don’t get there to find out how real it is. Believe it is real now and steer clear of it today! (See:Revelation 20:15)

5. Heaven: That eternal abode in which God will dwell with his people in person! I don’t want to miss the experience of living therein! You should have the same longing too. Let the thrill of what awaits the elect spur you to keep on keeping on till the Lord returns to take us home.(See: Revelation 21:1-7;Revelation 22:1-7; John 14:1-3)

Keep these in mind as you journey on to eternity. As you stay faithful to the Lord, you will succeed.

Broken

No where to hide
No space to lie
I lay bare
Open,beneath your gaze

No cause to fight
No point to prove
No tears will do
No shouts will cleanse

You are perfect, just and true
The direct opposite in it
I was
To you I come
Help me overcome

The nails through your flesh
The stripes on your back
The crown so sad
The grief so heavy

This burden I can’t lift alone
Help me see the breaking of a new dawn
With this guilt, help me be done
Lord,to you I come

They say you have mercy
This I know is true
From my insides I am weary
Calm my strives,make me new

Lord, shine your light and disperse this darkness
Cleanse my hands, feed me with your sweetness

Take my pride and cloth me in your meekness
Take my vains,heal my pains
I can’t help myself
Mere dust I am
Without you

My wrongs have penalties
But I know you won’t destroy me
I hold onto you,Lord
Only you can save me
Help me,Lord
Help me,Lord
Here at your feet
I kneel,broken

Mysterious excellence

People know you excel. They see you do what you do. Some even do the same things that you do as a routine. Yet they don’t ever get as high as you. They don’t excel as you do. They can’t explain it. They don’t know why. It is a mystery. It is mysterious excellence.

The Lord Jesus said in John 14:26:
‘But the Comforter, which is the Holy Ghost, whom the Father will send in my name, he shall teach you all things, and bring all things to your remembrance, whatsoever I have said unto you.’

His words are true and alive in the life of every believer. This promise above is already being fulfilled even today.

If the description in the first paragraph points at you, then know that the Holy Spirit is the standout factor that has brought about the mysterious excellence people are seeing your life.It is not your effort or super-smartness,never take the credit for your outstanding achievements. Always give the glory to God.
The Spirit of God is an amazing partner!
He brings a different lustre to everything that you, as a believer, do so much so that sometimes, even you might not be able to explain it.

So,be grateful at all times to God who has blessed you with such an invaluable friend who brings that mysterious excellence into everything you do.

Stay excellent.

That I may know him…..

Who do you say Jesus is?
One of the many things I know about him is that he is the son of God who was sent to redeem me and make me right with
God.
Often times, one gets to know more about a person by reading their autobiography or biography. One can as well know more about the saviour by reading about him: his works, words, life and so on.
Study more of the scriptures with a
honest desire to know more of the Lord. The more knowledge that you have of Christ and can use in your daily life, the more powerful you are and the better you will teach as the Holy Spirit helps you.

The apostle Paul had this to say about knowing Christ: ‘I want to know Christ and experience the mighty power that raised him from the dead. I want to suffer with him, sharing in his death, ‘ Philippians 3:10(NLT)

Desire to know more about him today too; pray to him for a deeper revelation of himself to you and study more of his words daily.

Stay blessed.

The unstoppable God

How great is our God!How great is his name!

Friend, how big is God to you? How mighty is he in your mind?

Here is what is Isaiah 66:1-2(KJV) has to say:
Thus saith the Lord, The heaven is my throne, and the earth is my footstool: where is the house that ye build unto me? and where is the place of my rest? For all those things hath mine hand made, and all those things have been, saith the Lord: but to this man will I look, even to him that is poor and of a contrite spirit, and trembleth at my word.’

He is a mighty God in all ways, bigger than we can ever know while we are still here on earth. So in all your ways, don’t limit God. Don’t have a small picture of the ancient of days. See him as greater than everything because he is! He can solve that seemingly difficult problem and give you a new day. You,just keep believing and living in righteousness,he will come through for you.
Always remember,as Matthew 19:26 says, that with God all things are possible and only he is unstoppable.

Stay in faith, stay victorious.
