Graceful speech

‘Be gracious in your speech. The goal is to bring the best out in others in a conversation, not put them down, not cut them out.’ Colossians 4:6(MSG)

As christians,we live by a different set of rules-rules so distinguished from the immoral norm that operates in sinful living;rules based on the perfect will of God. The operation of these godly rules should be extended to our speech,as with every other area of our lives.

We should not share the vocabulary of yet-to-be saved folks- swear words, profane and vulgar words should not feature in our speech. People should see and hear Jesus in our speech. We should be models to follow in our use of language.

Our speech should build people up,not tear them down, offer hope and not condemnation.

Love should govern our words everywhere, any time.

Stay blessed.
