Who is your role model?

‘The godly people in the land are my true heroes! I take pleasure in them!’ Psalm 16:3(NLT)

Who do you take pleasure in? Who is your role model? It is disgraceful for anyone who goes to church to choose someone of questionable character as a role model. It is aberrational and non-conforming to the core values of christianity!
Only someone who has gone ahead of you in the journey of faith can help you move further, not someone who hasn’t taken a first step yet. You shouldn’t revere the doings of a person who does not respect the norms and values you hold sacred in the name of the Lord. You shouldn’t follow anyone who does not follow God.

‘You adulterers! Don’t you realize that friendship with the world makes you an enemy of God? I say it again: If you want to be a friend of the world, you make yourself an enemy of God.’ James 4:4(NLT)

Never have a role model whose lifestyle negates the model which Jesus Christ has laid down for us,his followers.

There are great individuals who had lived and are still living for God who are worthy of emulation. Read about them, learn from their examples, be inspired by their experiences and go on to do even greater exploits than they did. In music, mission works, miracles, statements of faith, philanthropy and a host of other facets of life, there are godly examples to be followed!

A role model is someone who you fashion your lifestyle after. Whose is yours fashioned after at the moment? Is God happy with your alignment with the person?
‘One of the greatest decisions everyone will have to make is the decision of who to follow, who to emulate.’
The decision of who to emulate is a crucial one in the journey of life. If at this point you realise that you have chosen wrongly, please make a drastic and lasting decision to break off such alignment.

Christ, being our ultimate role model, let’s live our lives to please God at all times.

Follow Christ, align with his sheep.

STAY BLESSED.
