‘Don’t worry about anything; instead, pray about everything. Tell God what you need, and thank him for all he has done.’ Philippians 4:6 (NLT)
Christmas is almost here and you might have to entertain guests, the shopping list seems overly long and there seems to be so many other things to do. The purse is not looking fat right now and there might be this temptation to start to worry. Well, my friend, don’t. Remember who you are. Remember that the physical doesn’t dictate your happiness. Remember that your father is the wealthiest ever and he won’t let you be put to shame, his name must be honoured.
Sometimes, one could get caught in the whirlwind of worry over responsibilities and obligations especially as concerns finance. The best thing to do hence is to get out of that whirlwind as fast as one got in by referring to the word of God and his promises for his beloved. The Lord gave an in-depth exposition as concerns worry in Matthew 6:25-34. Let’s see this:
‘And if God cares so wonderfully for wildflowers that are here today and thrown into the fire tomorrow, he will certainly care for you. Why do you have so little faith?’ Matthew 6:30 (NLT)
Let your faith speak even in the face of seeming lack. Thank God even when there seems to be the barest of hopes for a miracle. He won’t forget you. You are too important to him to be forgotten. His words here to Israel confirms his faithfulness to his beloved, which you are:
‘“Never! Can a mother forget her nursing child? Can she feel no love for the child she has borne? But even if that were possible, I would not forget you! See, I have written your name on the palms of my hands. Always in my mind is a picture of Jerusalem’s walls in ruins. ‘ Isaiah 49:15-16 (NLT)
So whether your needs are long-term or short-term, they will be met by God and you will be more than fine. According to Philippians 4:6, keep worry out, pray about everything, tell your father about your needs and thank him for what he has done especially from January 2013 to now. It’s been an amazing year and that you are still alive is worth thanking God for. Your Christmas will be super amazing if you center it on God. Don’t worry, be happy in anticipation of the goodness the Lord will bless you with as gifts of the season. You will be more than fine. With the Lord, yes, you will be exceedingly blessed.
Raise your gratitude and see the Lord raise your prosperity to a higher altitude.
God bless you more, merry christmas in advance.
