Live what you preach.

”In the same way, let your good deeds shine out for all to see, so that everyone will praise your heavenly Father.” Matthew 5:16(NLT)

Your lifestyle is an invaluable channel of evangelism, please use it well. You never could tell who is out there watching your conduct as you live your life with your identity as a christian well-known. Does your lifestyle bring glory to Christ? Does it make others want to be Christians too?

If you preach love, don’t just talk about it, show it. If you preach peace, then being a peacemaker is really the best way to pass the message across. Let your modus operandi be ‘do as I do,do as I say’. In essence, let your acts match your speech. Jesus Christ as our perfect and ultimate role model lived what he preached. He personified his message.  He preached love and he gave the ultimate example of it when he died on the cross. My friend, please do likewise.

The disciples were first called christians in Antioch because their lifestyles resembled that of Christ. Their lifestyles revealed their identity and gave rise to the word ‘christians.’ If that was how it was, then it should still be the same because the words of Christ are perfect, unchanging and complete. So, Christians should still be people who spread the words of Christ and live the life of Christ. They should be identified by the way they live. There lifestyles should give glory to God always, living sacrifices(Romans 12:2). There shouldn’t be any deviation or  mutation whatsoever of this standard!

So, my dear friend, this is just to encourage you to keep up with the good work and be careful to live what you preach always!

You are blessed!
