‘Now regarding your question about food that has been offered to idols. Yes,we know that “we all have knowledge” about this issue. But while knowledge is important, it is love that strengthens the church.’ 1 Corinthians 8:1(NLT)
Friend, whatever knowledge you have of the things of the spirit is first, beneficial to you.How you apply this knowledge in your relationship with other believers is the decider of whether your knowledge will be beneficial to them or not. Overall,it is very profitable for you to couple the knowledge you have with altruism and seek the growth of other believers you relate with.
The knowledge of spiritual things is good, however, according to the verse above,LOVE is what strengthens the church. If you have love, then surely, the knowledge you have will help the church progress through the growth and encouragement of the believers that you relate with in love.
To buttress the importance of love in a fold: a gathering of knowledgeable individuals who do not cohere in love can’t be made stronger,if they were strong initially. And should they persist in discordance, the fold will eventually fold up.
Conversely, if there isn’t much knowledge in a fold initially, the presence of mutual love will help the members all grow together and garner knowledge as they advance.
So do your best to co-habit in love with other believers and even everyone else.
